Changes in the procedures of technical assessment

Starting from January 2020 ÉMI’s Conformity Assessment Center introduces changes regarding the procedures of technical assessment.

We inform you that starting from January 2020 ÉMI’s Conformity Assessment Center introduces the following changes regarding the procedures of technical assessment:

The detailed technical content of the technical assessments will be determined in a separate procedure before the technical assessment is carried out - for a separate fee. As a result of this procedure, a detailed, agreed upon with our partners technical quotation and work program will be sent for the issuing of the technical assessment.

The defining of the detailed content of the technical assessments shall include:

• the precise scope of the technical assessment,
• the identification of the manufacturer and the manufacturing site (s),
• definition of the product characteristics to be assessed,
• defining the methods for evaluating product characteristics,
• a review of the technical documentation available to us,
• coordinating the details of the laboratory tests with the test laboratories,
• specification of additional documents and test samples to be submitted for technical assessment,
• preparation of a detailed price calculation, work program and personalized quotation.

After accepting the detailed professional quotation, our procedure for issuing the technical assessment starts with contracting on the basis of the work program.

These changes are motivated by our efforts to make our technical assessment procedures more efficient and faster, the key to the detailed definition of professional content and the timely availability of appropriate documents and test samples to be provided by our clients.
